Your Word Means Everything

Over the past year, I've encountered several situations where a commitment was made only to have that revoked...especially when money was involved.
How do you feel when you don't keep your word? What does that do to you? Do you get that "pit in your stomach" feeling? That "pit" is called integrity and it's one of those things that defines you. It's holding yourself accountable to YOURSELF. It's how others see you.
Am I perfect? No. Not even close. Have I kept my word 100% of the time....nope.
Good Intentions are just what they imply "intentions". Kind of like when you tell someone you will "try" to do something or "try" to make it to an event. You either "do or don't". There is no such action as "trying".
Take the next opportunity you have to hold yourself accountable to your commitment. Take the next opportunity to either "do" or "don't" do something. It's OK to say "no". You will be respected more if you honestly tell someone "no" than commit and not keep your word.
I'll leave you with the definition of KARMA: the sum of a person's actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences. Here's to a great life of positive Karma for you and me!
