Your Why?
The dictionary definition of why is for what cause, reason, or purpose?
?Oprah said it best: “It is you who have created your circumstances. With every experience, you alone are painting your own canvas, thought by thought, choice by choice. And beneath each of those thoughts and choices lies your deepest intention.”
Your why, your reason, your objective - the reason why you do what you do - is as important as the actual activities you engage in. It will guide your path, shape your identity, help you identify your allies, determine if your ideas will be embraced, and impact your level of success, influence, and sustainability.
Your why sets you apart as a self-starter. It forms the foundation from which you negotiate, grow, and ultimately succeed.
So, why do you do what you do??Here are some ideas to help you discover your inner influence:
1. How do you want to make people feel?
2. What values are most important to you?
3. Why do these values matter to you?
4. What frustrates you, and how can you address it?
5. What tools or resources do you wish you had to make your journey smoother?
