We hope you know this already – at JQLaCorte we help you create a marketing engine that delivers new clients. We do this by creating what we call a “well-oiled marketing machine,” a program where the parts you need work together with a minimum of friction (there’s the oiled part) to generate the results you need.
These programs can be a bit complex at times and getting all the pieces working together is the basis for the expertise we’ve built up over the years. So, to extend the machine analogy, all the parts in the machine need to provide additional results without compromising the entire program. The engineers in the room know that increased complexity in a system generally means an increased risk of failure. The rocket scientists in the room (if we have any) will recall that in the early days of the space program we learned that to make a rocket twice as reliable it had to be built ten times better. The marketers in the room will nod and say “yeah, it’s all about execution.”
And that’s the other machine in the title – it takes a well-oiled machine to properly execute a well-designed marketing machine.? Going back to rockets, recall all those folks in mission control that were necessary to operate the ten-times better spacecraft. That’s the other thing we do here at JQL; not only do we design the rocket, we fly the rocket.
So, what are the parts of our mission control center?
First is a strong foundation. We have talented writers and editors on our team. We have marketing specialists who know how to work in all the platforms. We have support specialists that track and keep the process moving for our clients.
Next is a solid foundation in business, strategy, and marketing. We have deep experience in the industries we serve, and broad experience running a business (from Fortune 50 corporate to small, technical shops) in marketing, sales, and operations. We are also strategists, able to weave all these aspects into a solid plan for achieving results.
Third, we utilize cutting-edge tools and processes.? We use the same marketing automation and email platforms as our clients, so we know them thoroughly. We work in a shared project management platform for content generation, reporting, tracking, and an operating repository. We use Microsoft 365, Teams, OneDrive, and CoPilot for the latest office tools. And we utilize powerful social media tools for posting and reporting.

The fourth item is our well-developed ecosystem of top-notch (top-notch!) marketing partners. We operate as an agency, bringing in the expertise clients need to get the job done. We’ll select from a short list of web developers, SEO & SEM experts, Google ad experts, branding experts, PR and crisis experts, graphic designers, videographers, media buyers, and others.
Finally, we have our flight director(s), which is more of a function than just one person. We make sure everyone is working together, including the agency partners on an account. Almost always we are the direct interface with the client, responsible for getting the job done. The client usually knows who the team members are, and they may have a lot of direct contact with them as the engagement progresses, but always we are the ones managing the team in the background.
We hope this provides some insight into how we define the concept of a well-oiled machine. Why do we focus on this concept? It is because that’s what we believe our clients deserve when they engage with us. Our goals are aligned with theirs.
