QatarEnergy & TotalEnergies Partner For Solar Project

QatarEnergy and TotalEnergies have joined forces on a solar power project in Iraq, which is a component of the Gas Growth Integrated Project (GGIP). Under this partnership, QatarEnergy will hold a 50% stake in the solar photovoltaic (PV) initiative, with TotalEnergies retaining the other 50%.

Serica Energy Announces FPSO Interruption

Serica Energy has announced an interruption in production at the Triton floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit in the North Sea due to an issue with the sole gas compressor in use. On 26 October, a potential dry gas seal failure was detected in the 'A' gas compressor, though no hydrocarbon leaks occurred. The FPSO operator, Dana Petroleum, is now working to determine and carry out the necessary repairs.

EU Innovation Funds Linde & Cemex CCS

Cemex and Linde have been awarded €157 million in funding from the EU Innovation Fund for a CO2 capture project at Cemex’s Rüdersdorf Cement Plant in Germany. This initiative aims to capture 1.3 million tonnes of CO2 annually from the cement production process, with the goal of decarbonizing the facility by 2030.

ConocoPhillips Delivers Gas to SEFE

SEFE and ConocoPhillips have finalized a long-term natural gas agreement, marking the successful completion of the first gas deliveries. Over the next decade, ConocoPhillips will supply SEFE with up to 9 billion cubic meters of natural gas from its European portfolio, distributing it across various trading hubs in Europe.
