Vopak Reports HY1 Results

Vopak has reported robust results for the first half of the year (HY1) and announced plans to expand its terminal capacity. The company achieved a net profit of €213 million and an earnings per share (EPS) of €1.73 million in HY1 2024. Its EBITDA rose to €599 million, up from €586 million in HY1 2023, driven by contributions from growth projects and a one-time gain that offset the effects of divestments.

StocExpo Launches New Pavilion With Sprint Robotics

Sprint Robotics has formed a strategic partnership with StocExpo to introduce a drones and robotics pavilion at StocExpo 2025. The event is scheduled to take place in Rotterdam on March 11-12. Sprint Robotics, an internationally recognized non-profit organization with nearly 100 members, specializes in inspection and maintenance robotics. They will feature a pavilion on the StocExpo show floor, complete with a dedicated demonstration area.

Dover Acquires Marshall Excelsior

Dover has announced the acquisition of Marshall Excelsior Company (MEC) for $395 million (€364 million) in cash. MEC will be integrated into the OPW Global operating unit within Dover's Clean Energy & Fuelling segment (DCEF). Based in Marshall, Michigan, MEC specializes in supplying highly-engineered flow control components for the transportation, storage, and use of liquified petroleum gas and other industrial gases.

Oil Depot Fire After Ukraine Drone Attack

Three tanks at an oil storage depot in Russia's Kursk region caught fire following a drone attack reportedly launched by Ukraine, according to Reuters. While the fire at one of the tanks was quickly extinguished, 82 firefighters were deployed to tackle the fires at the remaining two tanks, utilizing 32 pieces of equipment.

Wison New Energies & CIMC Changhong Sign Partnership

Wison New Energies (WNE) and Zhoushan CIMC Changhong Shipyard Co (CIMC Changhong) have signed a three-year strategic cooperation agreement in Shanghai. Under this agreement, WNE will provide comprehensive EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning) services focused on floating natural gas facilities and clean energy solutions. CIMC Changhong will leverage its strong capabilities in offshore engineering and construction to collaborate with WNE in enhancing their combined expertise.
