?? Strathclyde project sees Scotland’s first medical drone deliver NHS lab specimens
In a Scottish first, laboratory specimens have been transported between NHS boards by drone, a milestone for the Project CAELUS initiative led by AGS Airports in partnership with the 英国斯特拉斯克莱德大学 . During a three-week trial, the drone delivery proved it could reduce transport time from up to five hours by road to just 35 minutes, significantly improving logistics, especially in rural areas.
?? GCU secures funding for groundbreaking heart disease research
A Scottish charity has awarded £14K to Glasgow Caledonian University health researchers to improve the lives of people with Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), a cardiovascular condition caused by artery narrowing. The research will test two new treatments, aiming to enhance physical activity and quality of life for people with PAD.

?? BAE Systems opens £12M shipbuilding academy in Glasgow
BAE Systems has completed its Applied Shipbuilding Academy at the Scotstoun shipyard in Glasgow. The 5,500m2 facility will serve as a key training hub for apprentices, graduates and 4,500 employees. It features a modern trade hall with realistic ship mock-ups for hands-on training, alongside a flexible learning hub with over 30 teaching spaces, a STEM innovation lab, an exhibition area and conference space, aimed at fostering lifelong learning and skills development.
