Dr. Peggy Brunache is a lecturer in Public History and Archaeology at the 英国格拉斯哥大学 and the founding Director of the Beniba Centre for Slavery Studies. A Haitian American who moved to Scotland in 2006, Peggy has excavated sites across West Africa, the Caribbean, and the U.S.
Featured internationally on the Discovery Science Channel, BBC, and ITV, she was recently honoured in the '100 Black Women Who Have Made A Mark' exhibition,?featuring portraits of 100 Black women who have made significant positive changes across diverse sectors including activism, arts, education, politics, science and technology.

???Mark Logan announces resignation as Scotland’s entrepreneurial leader
Mark Logan, Scotland’s chief entrepreneurial advisor, has stepped down after four years in the role. Appointed in 2020 to lead the Scottish Technology Ecosystem Review (STER), Logan stayed on to help drive game-changing initiatives including the TechScaler programme and gender balance in entrepreneurship through the Pathways initiative. He also worked to improve computing education across Scotland.
?? University of Glasgow begins construction on £300M Keystone Building
The 英国格拉斯哥大学 is starting construction on the £300 million Keystone Building at its historic Gilmorehill campus. Expected to be completed by the 2028/29 academic year, this world-class facility will support learning, teaching, and research for around 3,600 students. Part of the University's £1.3 billion Campus Development Programme, the Keystone Building will be one of the UK’s largest net-zero-carbon university buildings, and will feature neuro-inclusive workspaces for all students.
?? Dear Green Coffee achieve record-breaking B Corp ranking
Glasgow-based Dear Green Coffee Roasters , a trailblazer in the UK’s coffee scene, has earned one of the highest B Corp scores among Scottish coffee roasters during its recent recertification. Originally certified in 2020, Dear Green increased its score by 33.4 points, reaching an impressive 117.6. This achievement reaffirms the company’s commitment to the high social and environmental standards set by B Lab , placing them alongside global?ethical brands like Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s, and Tom’s.

?? Strathclyde launches engineering scholarships for women
英国斯特拉斯克莱德大学 has partnered with semiconductor company Cirrus Logic to launch a new scholarship programme to encourage more women to pursue STEM degrees. The Scholarships will support female students undertaking a Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering, helping address the gender imbalance in STEM fields. This initiative reflects the university's commitment to fostering greater diversity and encouraging more women to consider STEM-related careers.
