Game-changing Glasgow
Glasgow Life , the charity that leads culture and sport in Glasgow, has been awarded £350,000 by The National Lottery Heritage Fund to drive the economic and social regeneration?of Sauchiehall Street, which is famed for its international association with culture, music, heritage and entertainment.

Stephen Good , CEO of Built Environment - Smarter Transformation (BE-ST)
Stephen?has served as?CEO of BE-ST?– Scotland’s national innovation centre for construction and the built environment, since it was founded in 2014.?Under his leadership?BE-ST has evolved into a United Nations-recognised International Centre of Excellence for high-performing buildings. BE-ST’s mission is to accelerate the built environment’s just transition to zero carbon.
With a background in architecture, Stephen spent the first 10 years of his career with Anderson, Bell & Christie Architects designing and delivering award winning housing, education & healthcare projects across Scotland. He played a key role in the 2014 Commonwealth Games Athletes Village project whilst working at CCG (Scotland) Ltd. Stephen actively supports wider transformation across the built environment by contributing to a number of boards, working groups and forums.
???UWS’s virtual Van Gogh VR project nominated for prestigious award
A University of the West of Scotland (UWS) project which transforms the renowned Vincent Van Gogh 'Restaurant Rispal at Asnières' painting into an immersive VR museum has been?nominated for a Webby Award, which celebrates the best of the internet. This innovative project allows visitors to explore a collection of the artist's most famous works from across the globe, and is shortlisted alongside pop culture icons such as Taylor Swift, Mr Beast, RuPaul and The Simpsons.

???? Next generation of Glasgow cancer experts to benefit from £7.3m boost from Cancer Research UK
The investment, part of the Clinical Academic Training Programme, aims to accelerate the introduction of new and improved cancer treatments and will be used to train early-career clinician scientists - doctors who also carry out medical research. These professionals play a critical role in bridging the gap between scientific research and clinical patient-focused studies, enhancing the translation of cancer research into practical treatments.
?? Strathclyde to lead global £1.5M AI space sustainability project
A pioneering international collaboration, led by the 英国斯特拉斯克莱德大学 , is exploring how?artificial intelligence can tackle a major issue in the space sector: the congestion caused by space debris. Utilising machine learning, the project aims to forecast the movement of man-made objects to reduce the risk of collision and enhance the safety of space flights.?The UK Space Agency notes that there are millions of such objects circling the Earth, varying from defunct satellites to smaller debris like discarded astronaut toothbrushes.
?? Glasgow hospital conducting pioneering first-in-the-UK AI trial
The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, in partnership with leading healthcare innovator Qure.ai , is using artificial intelligence to improve CT scan analysis. This advanced technology is quickly able to identify critical areas of concern, enabling prioritised reporting. The aim of this trial is to speed up diagnosis times and reduce the strain on A&E Services, allowing clinicians to make quicker decisions regarding the care and discharge of patients.
