?? Innovator Spotlight: Amy M. , Founder & CEO of WeeBox
In 2016, after finding it challenging to send her brother Scottish gifts following his move to Australia, Amy founded WeeBox, a global subscription box for Scottish products. She has since shared "Scottish happiness" to over 25 countries through monthly curated gift boxes. Each month, she collaborates with local Scottish artisans to create new themes for the boxes.
Amy has won six international awards and helped more than 300 small Scottish makers in reaching a global audience.

Led by The Royal Academy of Engineering ’s newly launched Enterprise Hub, the Shott Scale Up Accelerator is a twelve-month programme that develops, nurtures and strengthens the leadership capabilities of senior decision-makers in high-growth engineering and tech SMEs to scale their business to the next level.

???Renfrew Bridge hailed as ‘a gamechanger’ for the Glasgow City Region
The newly opened Renfrew Bridge, connecting Renfrew with Clydebank and Yoker, was celebrated as 'a gamechanger' when politicians visited the site last week. The bridge promises to expand work, health, education and leisure opportunities on both sides of the Clyde - with the potential for thousands of additional jobs, fresh investment and new developments brought to the riverside.
?? NMIS to level up ambitious manufacturing businesses with £14m fund
Manufacturing businesses across the Glasgow City Region are set to benefit from £14 million in ‘levelling up’ funding for three research and development projects led by the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS). These initiatives aim to enhance workforce skills, boost sustainability and productivity and accelerate local economic growth. Additionally, smaller firms throughout the region will receive innovation support from projects involving some of the biggest names in industry including Boeing and SSE Renewables .
?? Ancient Glaswegian shrimp ‘Tealliocaris Weegie’ discovered as new species
A rare Scottish shellfish fossil on display at The Hunterian Museum, 英国格拉斯哥大学 , has been recognised as a new species and named in honour of the people of Glasgow. Originally believed to be a variant of another species, 'Tealliocaris Weegie' has now been reclassified to reflect its unique identity. This small yet robust shrimp likely lived around Glasgow over 330 million years ago in the Carboniferous period, possibly making it the oldest 'Weegie' on record.
