Your Weekly Dose of Financial Wisdom 9/25/24

What Is Wisdom?

According to the New Oxford American Dictionary, wisdom is defined as “the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment; the quality of being wise.”

In my experience as a financial advisor, here’s what I’ve observed about financial wisdom within the working class:

  • Financial experience: Often marked by hard-learned lessons and setbacks.
  • Financial knowledge: Frequently passed down through anecdotal stories from loved ones, friends, or bits and pieces found online.
  • Judgment: Typically shaped by those negative experiences and incomplete or misguided information.

Now, if we think of experience and knowledge as the foundation for judgment—whether to take action or avoid it—what happens when that foundation is built on negative experiences and unreliable advice? How do those daily financial decisions turn out?

It begs the question: Is it time for a reset? Especially if familiar patterns are leading to the same unwanted outcomes.

Maybe you have a positive mindset about money and success but still feel unsure about certain aspects of your financial future. If so, you're not alone. Many people have big questions or wonder what possibilities they haven’t considered yet.

So, why not take the first step in boosting your financial wisdom? Reflect on the areas of your financial life you want to improve, and then let’s chat. Give me a call at 253-881-7671, and together we’ll work toward achieving your goals.

Here’s to your success!
