IGNITING HEALTHY ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH STRUCTURE, COLLABORATION, INFLUENCE, & VISION
Can you imagine yourself in the following situation:
Your organization has set a goal; it’s a perfectly reasonable, achievable goal. Sure, it will take a little bit of work, but there’s no reason you shouldn’t meet this goal … Except that, you don’t. Time passes, you check in, and you realize you’ve fallen short or your own expectations. Now what??!
You could (A): Give up and throw in the towel! Say, “We’re too far behind to make a difference now … And while we’re at it, let’s scratch out any record of ever setting that goal in the first place, because NO ONE can ever know we’ve failed!” Or (B): Own up to falling short! Say, “Yes, we should be doing better. But if we give up now, things will only get uglier from here!” …and recalibrate and recommit to meeting your goal.
Personally, I’d like to say I see myself in ‘Option B,’ but will fess up to slipping into some version of ‘Option A’ more times than I’d like! (Case in point: this …ahem … ‘weekly’ newsletter!

Intercultural Competency Should Be Included in Your Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Plan
