Your Website can be a fantastic lead generator. You already spent a pretty penny on your website. There is no reason why your site cannot be on the front page of a major search engine with multiple listings.
End Game
A Website infused with proper Organic Optimization produces stealth results, caches in the search engines for months to years including list stacking content pages of your website. You also have the option of a stopping point and not lose your work or money spent. However, with Digital Marketing (PPC, Adwords, Campaigns) what traction do you have once the campaign ends? Is the answer "another campaign starting soon?"
Basics
I think people with businesses, need to take a deep breathe and get back to basics. Many clients I have had the pleasure of assisting with their websites and social media marketing had so much going on, and nothing was working as it should. After turning chaos into a lead generating website, the site was finally doing what it was meant to do in the very beginning. Basics in my mind are the following:
- Marketing Plan. It would be best if you had a marketing plan before you jump into anything that is presenting your business to clients and vendors.
- Think Thousands, Not just One. There are hundreds of thousands of search engines. Organic SEO conceived and written in pure form will last well throughout the internet without using a paid campaign.
- Organic Benefits. Organic SEO is labor intensive and tedious. The benefits are entirely worth it due to the fact, each page, post, and images are indexed and cached into the search engines for months to years. You keep and continue gaining more traction and traffic with Organic SEO.
- Inbound Marketing features are infused into the site to get visitors to interact and reach out to the business for services and products.
Spot the Red Flags
Be careful with digital marketing and back linking. Make sure your Website is fully optimized organically, includes inbound marketing, and is list staking on the search engines without any paid campaigns first. Jump into Social Media. Pick the ones that best fit your business model. Limit what you do first. Business Maps are most important, before profiles. You only need a few social media profiles, don't get crazy. It would be best if you went where your target audience is and or goes.
Digital campaigns need to be executed in a precise way to keep from wasting money. Remember, with every social media profile and backlink you are making, those websites with thousands of pages will rank higher than your site and push you to page 2. That is NOT the GOAL.
If a marketing agency shoves you straight into digital marketing campaigns. Seek out a Marketing Professional or Agency that is Pro Organic Marketing first. Your Website needs the best chance with a solid foundation, before jumping into paid campaigns.
