Your WALK= Your Being

Your WALK= Your Being

?

There is so much that is revealed in our walks. Early morning walks are very silent and self-connecting while evening walks are noisier. There is a freshness in the air which allows you to soak in the freshness of the breeze that floats and the bird sounds that welcome a new day. I have started enjoying the early morning walks a lot more. With chilly mornings, it's lovely when it is dark, moves to dawn and you are home before the sun is out. It’s wonderful to see most of those walking are not on phones but in groups laughing or alone lost in thought. Either way, connecting in the true sense of the term. It's important to realize that your WALK indicates a lot about your health and mood. A quick read will explain how even a quick short walk is better than a planned never to happen longer walk.

If WALK as an acronym for me stands for Wellbeing, Attitude, Learning, Kindness.

Well Being:

He who has health has hope; and he who has hope has everything.” – Arabian Proverb.

Your Physical and mental well-being are very crucial for good health. When we have any kind of dip in either, our energy dips. With energy dips, it becomes visible in the way we walk. A pain anywhere stops our speed and an off-mood walk is visible. If everything is fine in the body, there is a zing in the step. A brisk walk speaks volumes about how you feel & and reflects it powerfully in your confident rhythmic strides.?

Attitude:

“I always like to look on the optimistic side of life, but I am realistic enough to know that life is a complex matter.”?—Walt Disney

Life is the biggest blessing we all have. It is important to understand that the spotlight is a limited space. Everyone gets their chance to shine. Just beware of those thoughts that are negative and make you impatient.

Many a time we do things in a hurry and regret at leisure. Some of the outcomes in life are beyond logic and understanding. Understand the result is dependent on factors beyond you. The only thing in your control is the process, the way you do the task at hand. Do your best and let go!

Learning:

?“There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination, and finish with education. The whole of life, from the moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning.”?—?Jiddu Krishnamurti

The truth of life is life is constantly teaching us. The question is “Are we willing to learn?” We cannot be the best always. There will be people who will be better than us. Important therefore to be willing to be a student. Age is just a number. Each one of us is on our journey, so the quicker we let go of comparison the happier we will be. Use time meaningfully. Pause and think if you’re interested. If yes, learn it. Give time. Otherwise, move on. Matthew McConaughey?referring to his future self says, “Every day, every week, every month, and every year of my life, my hero is always 10 years away. I’m never going to beat my hero. I’m not gonna attain that. I know I’m not! That’s just fine with me because it keeps me with somebody to keep on chasing.”

Kindness= Karma

“How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours.” – Wayne Dyer.

We have a choice here clearly. Be Kind. It does not cost you anything to be kind. The kindest people are not invariably the richest, they are the ones with the biggest hearts. We have opportunities all around us to be kind to people. Use them. After all, Karma is not a B****, it is a mirror. The people who have been useful and helpful when I needed it most, were not the ones who I knew. This reflection taught me to be kind always. Life throws many opportunities. Make the most of it. When you have been useful, life maintains the accounts objectively!

?So, the next time you step out, remember your WALK determines your being. Like Ralph Marston said, "There are plenty of difficult obstacles in your path. Don't allow yourself to become one of them."

Enjoy!
