Your Wake

The most impressive thing I have heard from a leader is that they recognize their influence, so they only speak up at strategic times. This is impressive because it intentionally gives others the chance to lead, shows a sense of security, and demonstrates an awareness of their impact on the organization.?

Understanding the impact of your wake is important so that you can be intentional in how you wield it. You may not want to topple smaller vessels with the waves you make as you pass by, so your wake is how you can measure your impact on the teams you serve.
