Your Vulnerability is a Superpower

When was the last time you had a deep conversation with someone telling them your mistakes and your failures? Do you think that people will take advantage if you show vulnerability? Why does it feel bad to acknowledge to someone that we are weak and/or need help although deep down inside we know that is true?
Let me tell you a known but unacceptable fact. Do you understand that feeling of false power we have, that feeling of false control, that misnomer that we can get whatever we want if we show strength all the time? It can also be identified by another name, Ego.
On the other had, our Self-Esteem plays a big role directly opposite to Ego.
Ego is driven by a false notion that we are in control and that we have to show that to the world.
Self-esteem, on the other hand, is our inner feeling of alignment with our values. It guides us to be positive, motivated and always do the right things.
If you can take a moment, just close your eyes. Take a deep breath and relax. Listen to the sound of your breath and start thinking about your strengths and weaknesses.
We tend to think more negatives than positives. But I challenge you to think of those times when you made an honest mistake. When you failed at doing something per your standards, did you feel stronger then? Or when you think about the lessons from that time, does it empower you?

Now can you share this with someone you know, someone who believes in you, someone whom you care about? What would they think? Do you think that you are alone in having these feelings?
Everyone has such moments in life. Trust me, they are thinking about their experiences and very happy inwardly that you are just like them. They are thinking that you are only human.
Being Vulnerable helps you acknowledge that you need help. It makes you trustworthy, it helps you accomplish your goals by working with someone. No one can truly succeed alone. They need to learn, share, fail, adapt and grow together. If you are trying to get to the next level without help, maybe you are not being vulnerable.
Just like negative has no meaning without the positive, success has no meaning without failure, our strengths have no meaning without vulnerabilities. It's essential to understand how we are moving ahead in life and what is important for us. Are we focused on ourselves and the false sense of control or living by our values, displaying strong character and working towards the life we want.
Vulnerability is a superpower that many industry leaders have highlighted and it definitely gives you more than what you could possibly imagine.
