Your VOICE is POWER

Reading about the allegations of sexual offenses toward women in the press grieves my spirit deeply. It pains me to learn about women who were mocked, teased, threatened, assaulted and harassed in their work environment and felt helpless and unsupported through it.
But, I also congratulate the brave hearts that are standing up and speaking out against this unacceptable behavior.
It is quite common for women to not speak up for many reasons—shame, pain, deep embarrassment, and an understandable desire to put the incident aside and forget about it are just a few.
But what we have is a voice and that voice cannot be SILENCED, STILLED, or SHUT DOWN. We must defend ourselves and demand nothing less than respect. And, if we don’t? Well, we put ourselves at risk.
You could lose yourself—-your spirit and spark both of which are more precious than gold.
Your voice is a gift to this world and must be heard. If you are a victim of sexual assault, physical or emotional abuse, harassment or bullying, use your voice. Your voice matters! It can and will make a difference.
With love,
Tirza
