If your values-based leadership training does not……..

·??????Have a moral component to help people deal with issues they are facing; otherwise, you shortchange them and yourself.

·??????Deal with the false reality that “if it’s legal, it’s ethical.”

·??????If learning doesn’t link up to people’s experience, it will shortly be forgotten and becomes laborious, tedious and in the end, futile.

·??????Reward those who act ethically. If you don’t, you’re shortchanging the organization by targeting the negative and prioritizing punishing, thereby ignoring the positive and rewarding.

Much research points out that rewarding good behavior has a major positive impact on behavior.

·??????Have ongoing values-based leadership training! What’s the point of a “one-shot” ethics/values training? Nothing good will happen with a “one-shot” training.

·??????Include being socially responsible by ensuring day-to-day processes are safe, fair, and environmentally friendly, what does that “say” to your people?

·??????Have a “higher purpose” for your business, what message are you relaying to your people? Knowing that this will have an impact on reputation, empowerment, and workplace morale

So while planning your 2022 Leadership Development training, this is the time to re-evaluate your leadership development training to be more proactive. Why? The more proactive you are in providing training with tools, examples, techniques and that it is ongoing, the greater the odds of something negative not happening.

To be proactive is an investment. To be reactive is a cost, a fine, a lawsuit, etc.?In the long run, which would save you more money?
