Your Uncompromising Success

"Be yourself, everyone else is already taken."

It's a powerful message that resonates with all of us, and yet it can be difficult to live by. As successful women who aspire to a prosperous and luxurious life, we often find ourselves struggling to balance our ambitions with our true selves.

In our fast-paced and competitive world, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle and forget that success is a personal journey that looks different for everyone. We're bombarded with images of what success should look like, whether it's a corner office, a fancy car, or a social media following. And it's easy to compare ourselves to others and feel like we're falling short. Or maybe, you have all those things already and wonder what’s next – yet, you feel nothing.

The problem with the comparison game (as my friend Megan K. Clarke says the compare and despair game) is that it can lead us to compromise our values and authenticity in order to fit in with society's standards of success. We lose our feelings and our essence. We feel like we have to adopt a certain persona, style, or way of working in order to fit in to be successful, even if it goes against who we truly are. We find ourselves chasing someone else's idea of success, rather than defining our own. And in doing that – we feel a dissonance inside us – we miss joy. We create amazing wealth often at the expense of true fulfillment of happiness and love.

When we stay true to ourselves and our values, we're more likely to experience a sense of fulfillment and purpose in our lives. We're more likely to find success in the things that matter most to us, whether it's our career, our relationships, or our hobbies. We may even find that our unique perspective and approach to life leads to greater innovation and creativity. Being true to ourselves allows for expansion & possibilities that we can imagine and see vividly.

It's not “out there”.

It’s not a destination.

Defining our own version of success requires us to look within ourselves and get clear on what truly matters to us. It also requires us to let go of society's standards and expectations, which can be difficult when we're bombarded with messages of what success “should” look like. It’s a time to get really real with what we want; with what sets our soul on fire that fuels our purpose and momentum.

When we define our own version of success, we can create a life that's truly fulfilling and meaningful. We can embrace our unique talents, interests, and passions, and we can pursue them with passion and enthusiasm. We can create a life that's authentic and true to who we are. When we ignite the passion from our soul, we become unstoppable and our light shines from within.

Many of us have experienced the pressure to conform to the expectations of others, whether it's in our personal or professional lives. We may feel like we have to put on a mask or adopt a certain persona to fit in with a particular group or meet the expectations of a boss or client or even family.

This pressure to conform can be especially strong in the workplace. We may feel like we have to adopt a certain style or way of working to be taken seriously or get ahead. We may feel like we have to hide our true selves, whether it's our personality, our interests, or even our appearance, in order to fit into a corporate culture.

I did that for most of my career. Don’t be too goofy. Don’t show the tattoo. Don’t be too much. You’re too woo. Follow the rules. Fit in. Not being who I was cost me.

Compromising who we are to fit in can lead to feelings of disconnection from ourselves and discontent with everything around us, even success. We can easily fall into the sea of apathy with lack of fulfillment and purpose. We may also find ourselves struggling to maintain this persona, leading to stress and burnout. It takes so much more effort to be someone that you’re not.

But when we embrace who we truly are, we experience joy and fulfillment that comes from living authentically. We can more easily bring our unique talents, skills, and perspectives to the table, without self judgement or doubt, which leads to greater creativity and innovation. We also connect with others on a deeper level, building more meaningful relationships both personally and professionally. We don’t step into a life with trepidation, but rather we lean fully in without hesitation.

It takes courage and self-awareness to stay true to ourselves, even when it's difficult. But the benefits of living an authentic life are well worth it. When we embrace our true selves, we can experience greater happiness, fulfillment, and success in all aspects of our lives.

Out on a Limb

As successful women, we often feel like we have to do everything on our own. We may feel pressure to be the best at everything and to have all the answers. We may worry that asking for help is a sign of weakness or that it will make us appear incompetent.

But the truth is, asking for help is a sign of strength, self-awareness, and humility. It takes courage to admit that we don't know everything and that we need support. It also shows that we're willing to learn and grow, which is essential for continued success. When you reach out, you also find your tribe.

My greatest lesson was learning to raise my hand and asking for help. Throughout my life I always held my own. Asking for help was something that I never did – until that moment I needed a life preserver. I waited until I almost hit rock bottom. And even then, I debated with myself internally. And in that moment it wasn’t just knowing how to ask, but also what to ask for.

Sound familiar?

Asking for help can take many forms. It may mean seeking out a mentor or coach to guide us in our career or personal life. It may mean reaching out to a friend or family member for emotional support during a difficult time. It may even mean delegating tasks or responsibilities at work to free up our time and energy for other priorities.

I’ve learned that my personal board of directors comes with coaches & mentors to help me attain greater depths of awareness. We’re not meant to go alone. Were meant to rise together in community.

When we ask for help, we open ourselves up to new perspectives, ideas, and solutions. We may discover new ways of doing things that we never would have thought of on our own. We may also build stronger relationships with others, as we show our vulnerability and willingness to connect. We connect ourselves on an even deeper level.

Of course, asking for help can be challenging, especially when we're used to being self-sufficient. It requires us to let go of our ego and to be vulnerable with others. But the benefits of asking for help are well worth it. When we allow ourselves to receive support and guidance from others, we can achieve even greater success and fulfillment in our lives.

The Golden Goose

Living a prosperous and luxurious life means different things to different people. For some, it may mean having financial wealth, while for others, it may mean having strong relationships, good health, or a sense of purpose.

Regardless of what it means to us individually, living a prosperous and luxurious life requires us to be true to ourselves and our passions. It means understanding what drives us, what brings us joy, and what we're truly passionate about. When we can tap into these things and align them with our goals, we're more likely to find success and fulfillment in our lives.

But it's not just about pursuing our dreams. It's also about being kind to ourselves and others along the way. It's about recognizing that we're all on our own unique journey and that success looks different for everyone.

We may encounter obstacles and setbacks on our path to success, but it's important to be patient and compassionate with ourselves. We should celebrate our accomplishments, no matter how small, and acknowledge our progress towards our goals.

At the same time, it's important to be kind and supportive of others on their journey. We can learn from their experiences and help each other grow and succeed. When we approach life with kindness and compassion, we create a positive energy that attracts prosperity and abundance into our lives.

Living into this type of life,?is about more than just material possessions or status. It's about being true to ourselves, pursuing our passions with determination, and showing kindness and compassion towards ourselves and others.

As we pursue success and prosperity in our lives, it's important to remember that we are human beings, with flaws, imperfections, and emotions. We make mistakes, experience setbacks, and have moments of doubt and uncertainty. And that's okay.

It's essential to embrace our humanity and to accept ourselves just as we are. We don't need to be perfect to be successful or happy. In fact, it's often our imperfections that make us unique and relatable to others.

By embracing our humanity, we can let go of the need for perfection and allow ourselves to be vulnerable and authentic. We’ll connect with others on a deeper level and build meaningful relationships based on mutual understanding and empathy.

As women, we face unique challenges in our personal and professional lives, and it's essential to have a supportive network of friends, family, and colleagues who can offer guidance, encouragement, and advice. And it's crucial to support and uplift each other along the way.

When we lift each other up, we create a culture of empowerment and growth, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and succeed. Celebrate each other's successes, learn from each other's experiences, and inspire each other to reach for our dreams.

As we pursue success and prosperity in our lives, let's remember to embrace our humanity and accept ourselves just as we are and in our journey. Let's also support and uplift each other along the way, creating a culture of empowerment and growth. By doing so, we can build a life that's not only rich in wealth and luxury but also abundant in meaning and fulfillment?for us and others.
