Supporting innovators with positive impact: Growth Marketing, PR, Partnerships & Board Advisor
Last week I attended a Crowdcube x London & Partners Travel Tech Lab event showcasing some of the hottest UK innovators in travel services.
City Stasher, PlanSnap, Knomiapp & Kompassapp presented their brand stories – all with one singular thought in mind – fixing the needs of a new generation of experience seekers.
Wow travel is changing! These insightful brands are servicing customers who want to get closer, deeper, faster & more personalised connections with global destinations - whilst also making the process of planning that experience - a whole heap easier.
Never has the phrase ‘there’s an APP for that’ been more topical. From helping to plan your group experiences (thank you PlanSnap) to discovering hidden parts of the City (Kompassapp), off the beat luxury shopping (Knowmiapp) and a safe & easy way to secure your luggage (Citystasher). These are just a few of the pioneers shaking up the conventional travel marketplace.
But the biggest driving change in travel right now is the rapid rise of new emerging markets. According to the Oxford Economics Report 2014, the global travel market will rise rapidly over the next 10 years. The Asia-Pacific region is forecast to display the strongest appetite for travel mainly due to middle class prosperity & propelling birth rates.
The best news about this major new travel movement is that whilst its being transformed by emerging new technology & access to new data – it is supported by the power of humankind.
Without any doubt, our mobile devices will become the singular method to explore compare & contrast virtual travel choices. However it’s living, breathing, helpful humans who are signing up to give their global neighbours the best travel experience possible. People collaboration is why the travel industry is being so positively reconstructed - I think that’s a great movement for humanity!
