Your tiny crowd can pay off big

I LOVE talking about all things related to messaging, marketing, and business ownership.?

For 16 months straight in 2019-2020 I went live on Facebook every Friday and talked about these things to… pretty much no one.?

Okay, occasionally I had one or two people drop in on my Lives but for the most part,?it was me and my webcam.?

But wow, did I get so much out of that experience!?

Doing it helped me develop my voice and perspective.?I got comfortable on camera and stopped worrying about the size of the audience.?

Even now, I don’t mind one bit if it’s just me and a couple of other people in the room whenever I’m giving a talk or running a session.?

If you’re publishing content, posting or going on camera somewhere and you’re feeling anxious about who—or rather who’s NOT—paying attention, here’s a few things to keep in mind:?

  1. More people are watching then you think.
  2. Tiny can be quite mighty. One or 2 people in the room who are your ideal clients count way more than an audience of 100 people who are not. (This is true for your room, email list, video views, etc.)
  3. Having an audience is just one of the many benefits of showing up on camera and/or publishing content.
  4. Small audiences offer more opportunities for intimate conversations and personal connections.
  5. Show up for yourself first. Everyone else is a bonus.
  6. You might be your greatest critic. You also have the capacity to be your greatest cheerleader.

So what are you waiting for? Get out there and show the world what you can do.
