In our last newsletters, I shared more about the?Ask?and?Acknowledge?steps of?our AAA (Ask. Acknowledge. Act) framework for addressing team wellbeing needs.?
Once you've collected data regarding and taken the time to actively listen/ acknowledge the concerns shared, it is time to develop and implement a well-being strategy.
This can seem daunting in any workplace environment considering the variety of feedback and suggestions you may be asked to consider.
Employee wellbeing is essential for organizational success, yet it's something many companies struggle to cultivate.?
The good news is there are proven ways to boost wellbeing even within a busy, high-pressure workplace.?
Here are 3 impactful considerations for your Team Wellbeing Action Plan:
Frequent and meaningful check-ins between employees and managers are vital.?
Leaders should proactively meet with each team member to provide support, identify problems early, discuss career growth, and reinforce organizational values.?
These meetings aren't just about discussing work-related matters though.
They provide a unique opportunity for open dialogue, where employees can share their aspirations, challenges, and concerns.?
The benefits? - Enhanced trust, improved communication, and a deeper sense of belonging.?
When leaders actively listen, they can address well-being concerns more effectively and employees feel valued.
DM me?if you'd like a template I've developed to help leaders and team members get the most out of these opportunities to connect.?
2. Employee Resource Groups (ERGs):
ERGs bring together employees with shared experiences and interests for networking and community building.?
They can often become hubs of support, networking, and personal growth. They create spaces for employees to connect, support one another, share experiences, advocate for change, and foster a sense of community/belonging.
Engagement in?ERGs?promotes diversity, inclusion, and mental well-being.?
These groups are not just about business.?
They're about building meaningful relationships to reduce feelings of isolation and promote employee wellbeing, satisfaction, and engagement.?

3. Building A Wellbeing Champion Network:
Wellbeing Champions?are passionate advocates for employee well-being.?
Volunteer employees trained in assisting co-workers with finding mental health resources, improving sleep and nutrition, reducing burnout, and more can provide personalized guidance and be wellbeing role models.?
They can facilitate small-group workshops focused on topics like stress management, work-life balance, and mindfulness allowing peers to learn from and motivate one another while building connections.?
Their dedication inspires everyone to prioritize self-care, physical and mental health. Their support for those struggling boosts morale.?
This type of peer coaching is a win-win!
Investing in these types of strategies nurtures happier, healthier employees and creates a more productive and innovative workplace - but there is no one-size-fits-all solution!
Each organization/team must take the time to plan strategically and revise their plans often to ensure meaningful engagement and maximum return on investment.
Remember, a thriving workplace culture starts with a commitment to wellbeing!
