Your System Upgrade
Those of us who own an iPhone have either updated our phones recently or received relentless pop up reminders to install the updated IOS. I did not want to update my phone. I like my phone the way it is. I know where everything is and I don’t need any fancy new stuff. I knew I would have to agree to the update at some point but one morning this week I woke up and it was mysteriously downloaded. After a quick scream of “NOOOOâ€, I realized that I had no choice but to accept it. To my surprise, after taking some time to see the new features (with help from my 12 year old), I found I actually liked the changes. The phone works fine, some of the features look better and there are several things that are even easier. It just took some getting used to.
This made me think maybe it’s time for a system update in life and business. There are a lot of people doing the same things and not getting any results. They are so comfortable with the way things have been that they resist the “updateâ€. Face it, change is inevitable. We can embrace it or resist it, but it still happens.
This week take a look at the things in your life and business that need an update. Don’t start with a drastic change. Start with minor enhancements to what you already have. Just like with my phone, the functions remain the same, they are just improved. It might take some getting used to but change is necessary to be better than you were yesterday. Don’t get stuck in complacency. Hit your “agree to update†button today for your life and business and make this week count!
