My name is Brittany Molleda. I know you’ve heard about my family’s story lately, so I wanted to reach out so you could hear directly from me.

When my wife and I were unexpectedly rushed to Northwestern Medicine Prentice Women's Hospital for our son Zadakiel's premature birth, we arrived overwhelmed and unprepared. With no idea how we were going to find an affordable place to stay in Chicago?– over an hour from home?–?we were introduced to Ronald McDonald House.

For the next 101 days, the wonderful place your generosity supports became our home away from home while Zadakiel received the care he needed in the NICU. We were welcomed with more than just a place to stay.?We had meals waiting for us every day,?and access to a big kitchen if we wanted to cook or bake;?a private, spacious room, and a community of other families who truly understood what we were going through.

There are no words to thank you enough for allowing us to be just steps away from Zadakiel while he grew stronger. Your support allowed us to be there for every important moment , and ensured we could rest and recharge without ever being too far from his side. Ronald McDonald House wasn't just a place to stay; it was a blessing we didn't know we needed.

Today, Zadakiel is almost ten months old and thriving. My wife, daughter and I are so thankful to have him home, and forever grateful to you for helping us stay together through it all.
