Your Story Is Unique
When I started out on my social development journey, all I had was just mere unrefined passion with little or no information, no coach, no network, no funds, no mentor and little did I know that copying and using other people's story for my essay writing will only bring me frustration and tons of rejection.
The evil of plagiarizing someone else work is that it takes away your uniqueness and originality, you will always end up stuck because you won't be able to tell the story convincingly and let me shock you, most times the reviewers know when the story is not yours because as it always disjointed, yes, they know when it's not your idea.
So What Was The Game Changer For Me
In 2018,for the first time in my life,i decided that I will tell my own story no matter how awkward and insignificant it may appear or sound but I made a decision to tell it anyway and that singular decision got me my first congratulatory mail from the Prestigious YPB, several other life changing opportunities afterwards and still counting by Gods grace.
The YPB afforded me the opportunity to connect with top leaders from diverse works of life and to network with some of the best young minds from all over Nigeria, the likes of Ogbemudia Eddy Uwoghiren, Hammed Kayode Alabi, Tolani Odukoya amongst several others.
Listening to other young people share their story at YPB in 2018, I realized that for my story to stay relevant,I needed to make some investment in the art of storytelling and that led me into seeking help from uncommon mentors and attending some intentional paid master classes.
And after these experiences, I have learnt to tell my story in more convincing way and I've not stopped telling my story because not telling it is like asking me not to breathe. My story is the inspiration that birthed my journey, I'm My Story.
Here Is What To Do Going Forward In 2020
~ Learn the art of storytelling and make some intentional investment in your personal growth.
~ Get a mentor/ Coach
~ Get a reference point or model as a guide to measure your growth
~ Don't be afraid to ask/ seek for help
~ Identify those that you are trusting God to grow and become like or even better than in your chosen career, when you have identified them, build quality relationship with them, be open minded and receptive to their constructive criticism, and if you can; Package a seed and sow into their lives(trust me, this is a spiritual principle and it works but if you don't believe in it, please don't do it).
~ And start to unashamedly tell your story from the heart because your story is unique and the world need to hear it.
~ Seek God and then you can be rest assured that every other things will fall in place.
Cheers To Greatness
