First off, how are we all doing? We're well into peak wedding season now and, while the buzz of back-to-back weddings is usually enough to help you push on through, often it can start to feel ‘a lot’ right about now. Working in the wedding industry for over 20 years I totally get it, so if you’re finding it hard to keep on top of your day-to-day sales or marketing do reach out – that’s exactly what? The Venue Experts?is all about.
Let’s get social
Today I wanted to talk a bit about the power of strong social media feeds
Make it personal
Get creative – this could be anything from showing what goes on behind the bar (maybe even a wedding cocktail how-to), the food service or a general ‘meet the team’ reel. Other things that work really well include a time lapse of a wedding set up and a real time view of events, put together using content from the venue staff rather than a professional photographer. It adds a realness and authenticity to your venue, as well as giving you the chance to connect with followers and potential customers
Another excellent thing about peak wedding season is the steady stream of incredible wedding photographers you have visiting your venue. Grab one and ask for some quick shots of the team, which you can share across your socials (crediting the photographer, of course). Showing the faces of the people behind the venue is always a winner.

Don’t forget TikTok
While Instagram and Facebook have been the go-to platforms for wedding venues for many years now, it pays to keep up with social media trends.?The Venue Experts Marketing team?know everything you could ever want to know about optimising social media for wedding venues
The new kid on the block
Another platform you need to know about it Threads – Meta’s alternative to Twitter. It’s become the fastest-growing social media platform in history, with more than 100 million people signing up to Threads since it’s launch just over a week ago. Here, you can create posts of up to 500 characters and videos up to 5 minutes long, taking away the restrictions of some other social platforms. The overall vibe at Threads is light-hearted and relaxed, making it a great platform for fun pictures, memes and interesting things your venue team have been up to. It’s early days, but so far our Marketing team have spotted some real potential on the app for making venues feel more personable and accessible
