Your Social Media Strategy 2024

Your Social Media Strategy 2024

Here's the thing: just because everyone's online, doesn't mean they're hanging out in the same places.

?It's important to know your audience's favourite social channels.

For instance, if you're selling supplements for 50 years’ old, your safest go to platform is Facebook.

Why? Because your audience is there actively engaged and browsing a lot to understand the problems and find solutions to improve their health. ?

Whilst some social platforms are gaining steam, others are falling behind.

?Okay, based on the Hubspot social media trends report which social media platforms are heating up this 2024 year? ??

Let’s look at them more closely….

Instagram ??

This app is HUGE, like over a BILLION users huge.? And get this – it's not slowing down! Hubspot survey shows tons of marketers see its potential and are ready to invest even more in it.

Honestly, that doesn't surprise me.? Instagram crushes it when it comes to getting people engaged, and the payoff for businesses is real. Makes total sense why it's such a fave!

Okay, here's another reason Instagram is a marketer's dream – it's making it SO easy for people to buy stuff right on the app.?

Think about it – scrolling, see something cool, BAM, it's yours. No wonder why most marketers think that's where the future of shopping is headed ??

And it's not just marketers loving it. Despite TikTok being the Gen Z go-to, Instagram is still a major player for them AND millennials. Basically, it's got something for everyone!

?

Facebook

Facebook might be old-school, but it's NOT dead. Hubspot survey shows marketers are still seeing its potential, with tons planning to pump more money into it this year.?

Honestly, that jump in investment is kinda wild! ??

Fun fact: Facebook is still the biggest player in social media, with a WHOPPING 3 billion users!? And get this – it's a major hangout for Gen X and Boomers. They LOVE scrolling through it.

So, if your ideal customer is a bit older, forget the trendy new platforms and focus on Facebook. That's where you'll actually reach them! ??

Okay, let's talk millennials.? They DO still use Facebook, and surprisingly, it's their fave app.? But here's the thing – they’re not exactly glued to it.

Now, Gen Z? That's a whole different story.? Barely half check Facebook at all anymore, and it's definitely NOT their top hangout.

?

TikTok

Gen Z's OBSESSED with TikTok. Over half of them are on it, and it's their absolute fave app – sorry, YouTube and Instagram!

But here's the twist: TikTok's not just for teens anymore. Older folks are getting hooked too. Even Boomers are giving it a try!

Marketers are finally catching on. They're pouring cash into TikTok this year. Makes sense – those short, addictive videos? People can't get enough!

Youtube

Okay, YouTube is a crowd-pleaser!? You can find any type of video about your topic on Youtube, and Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X – they're all pretty much hooked on those videos.? Even Boomers are loving it, coming in right behind Facebook as their fave.

No surprise here:? Video marketers are ALL about YouTube. They're obsessed with it and for a good reason – it seriously pays off!

?

Ok, back to you now…

One important question remains, right?

What channels are best for your social media marketing?

Old reliables like Facebook and YouTube, or the hot new thing like TikTok?

Honestly, it all depends on WHO you're trying to reach.? The key is to hang out where YOUR ideal customers are already hanging out.

And hey, don't be afraid to experiment!? There's no rule that says you have to pick one platform forever ??

?Try stuff out, see what gets results, and adjust as you go!
