Your Shape, Your Choice

Belly fat is a choice. Not your grandfather’s gene. If you blame a fat gene in your bloodline, then you’ll never work on your body shape. You’ll surrender to fate and accept you are fat by design. Fat in the wrong places has to do with the food you eat, the malt you consume and refusing to exercise regularly. Matters exercises, consistently counts, not intensity. The discipline of jogging 30 minutes every day.
No doubt obesity has a strong genetic component. But obesity is not completely predetermined. What you eat can have a major effect on which genes are expressed and which are not. Stop eating like a fool. Reduce the amount you eat. Most food goes to waste. Cut down on carbs and sugars. Take light dinner before 8PM, preferably 6PM. Avoid eating late night.
I check the weight of Mercy, Ivy and Zig every month. There’s no room for obesity in my house. Weight is a threat to your work, and by extension, your income. Weight compromises your health. Obesity increases the likelihood of various diseases and conditions, particularly cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, obstructive sleep apnea, certain types of cancer, osteoarthritis, and depression.
Weight compromises your intimacy. No wonder you breathe like a failing Diesel engine during bedtime and you can’t get her to the mountain top. Hiking is tough for all of us but it’s a double tragedy for the overweight. Weight is a threat to your intimate relationship. If your wife is overweight, how do you carry your bride and swing her around a fountain? How often do you have lap dance under dim light?
Gentleman, never complain your wife is overweight. Get back to the steering wheel and lead your family again. Those teenagers are glued on screens and eating themselves silly because of failed home leadership. That’s why I’m hosting a Men Only Online Summit on 25th July to focus on Family Leadership.
