Being aligned with what your audience wants and needs is a tricky one because what they really need is not typically what they think they want. I'll tell you what I mean by this.?
Most of my clients that move towards me think they want to earn more money. They think they want sales and marketing training but what they really need is more confidence, and they need a power-up of their self-worth. What they really need is to understand the blocks that are stopping them from believing they can earn their £2,000, £3,000, or £5,000 a month; actually, the earning of the money is the easy bit!?
Allowing yourself to earn it, and doing the work consistently, and your self-belief is the tricky bit.?
The sales and marketing skills are really easy to teach, which is why there are millions (and I mean millions) of courses and products available. There is free training on the internet, there are mini courses and major courses, intensives, masterminds, retreats - everything that you could imagine. And I know, because I've run them and so do many, many other Coaches. The skills part is easy. The YOU part is the tricky part.
The YOU bit has you stuck… Specifically your own life, your own journey, your own trauma responses, your own experiences in life, your beliefs, your values, your fears. They're all very unique to you, therefore, they can't possibly be done on a programme unless it's live. I run lots of live group coaching programmes for exactly that, because somebody else listening to me, whilst coaching you, watching you working your stuff out and working it out of you, helps them to understand that maybe they've got that hidden in the background as well.?
So group coaching - Deep Structure Group Coaching, is very, very powerful because that witnessing helps you to have a different perspective on what might be going on for you.?
But actually, you might need one-to-one work, you might need to understand that, that thing that happened when you were 12 is the thing that's really giving you all the stuff that's causing you problems now.?
It may be that the first job you had put you into a massively tail-spinning space around money, finance and accounting. It could be that the friends you didn't have when you were nine years old at school because they said that you were too outgoing, could stop you from being outgoing and visible in your business. There'll be an array of things that are preventing you.?

It's really, really unusual for anyone to not have self-doubt. It’s really unusual to not have blocks. There are always some. I've never met anybody, including myself, that doesn't have something from their past that is triggered when they try and go to their next level. And the only way to stay safe from triggers is to not try.?
So if you're not trying, then you're probably staying safe. But staying safe isn't where you get to success. Staying safe isn't where the joy, the passion, and the fulfilment is. Staying safe is just the same. Staying safe is just safe. And of course, your unconscious is trying to serve safety first.?
So I'm wondering what it is that's blocking you? And I'm wondering what it is that is stopping you from moving forward??
Is it because you want a quick fix? Have you bought a four-week programme, a 12-week programme, a one fix (one and done) as we call it in the industry? Have you tried but not really committed? I'm going to use an example of this because it's not until you are truly ready to change and shift that you WILL change and shift and you'll find the right thing.?
I just watched one of my clients put a post out saying, “what would you prefer, a six-week course where you get a kind of an overview and understanding, or a six-month course where you really go into the depths of what you need to change?” The comments are, “I prefer the six-week option”. I know that if you've got stuff that really needs sorting out, it's pretty tricky to do that in six weeks. I mean, you can just about start to do the pre-work for it. If your whole life has been creating whatever's going on for you, to then change that in six weeks is hard.?
I'm a Breakthrough Coach. I do laser coaching and I can break down a belief in literally one session and completely rewrite it. That doesn't mean that you're then going to integrate that into other parts of your world, so what really should have happened is that clients should have been doing the six-month work, because all that will happen is the people will come on the six-week course and say “it wasn't enough”, or they “didn't get the results”, or they'll say it was “going too quick” and they “didn't have time to do the work” and they “would have liked longer.”?
So this is a case of what they NEED, rather than what they want. If in your marketing, you can talk about knowing this, and helping them understand that what they want is six weeks; but what they really need is six months to really do the true work, then maybe the right client will come and do the work with you. If you help people with deep transformation work, they want to do the deep transformation… Make sure you're serving the right people.?
I like to do the deep transformation work. I'm a Deep Structure NLP Coach and I train people to do this too. And I help people to build that dream business where they're helping people change their lives. If you're interested in anything I've said on this, or anything else you've seen or heard, then do get in touch with me and I would love to help you go to your next level.
