Your brain’s reticular activation system (RAS) is the gateway through which information moves from your unconscious to your conscious mind. Your RAS filters the information you are receiving through your senses and determines what you able to see. It also blinds you to anything that does not match your current paradigm or belief system. The development of your emotional intelligence increases your awareness enabling you to see the opportunities in the challenges you are facing.
