Is Your Resume Good Enough?

Is Your Resume Good Enough?

One question I get asked a lot as a recruiter: Is my Resume good enough?

This is all based on opinions, everyone's is different. Some people wish to read every last detail, some people prefer to keep it short and sweet. Some people like to see visuals, some prefer the timeless black and white.

The list of options on how to present your Resume goes on.

Here are a few things I personally like to see on a Resume:

→ Detailed bullet points of responsibilities, it makes it easier to read for me.

→ List of key achievements/professional projects that you're really proud of.

→ Clear contact details, LinkedIn link, Nationality + work permit, Languages.

→ Job titles, Company name and industry for each appointment.

→ Personality, hobbies, something an interviewer can read and relate to.

There's loads of things that I like on Resume's, this list could be as long as my arm... but above are some of the important things on a resume that I prefer to see.

Let me know in the comments what you like to see on Resume's (Recruiter or Hiring Managers) or if there's something you add onto your own that is unique (Candidates.)

Dear Ella, thanks for sharing. If a person has a diverse background, tailoring CV as according to the spesifics (emphasizing relevant experience and skillset) of the job ad helps also. It can be time consuming but might worth to do.
