Welcome back to another instalment of The Optimist! This is the fourth edition of our quarterly newsletter, a one-stop-shop full of positivity, innovations and Optimo news.

As of the 21st, we are officially in the summertime and the weather will (hopefully) start being our friend.

How To Grow Your Impact AND Income (what could be better?!)

Rather than just telling you what we've been up to lately, we thought it might be good to include something helpful in each edition too! So you'll find a 'how to' section in our newsletters going forward that will cover all things operational improvements, starting with this.

We can sometimes want to grow and do some good with our business but struggle to find the time. It can be impossible to stand back and look at the bigger picture when there are loads of different things fighting for your attention.

How do you spend your free time?

It seems like everywhere you turn, people are talking about feeling burnt out. With the demands of work, family, and constant connectivity, it’s no surprise many of us are struggling to find that balance.

Whether it’s reading a good book, spending time outdoors, or simply taking a moment to breathe, are you taking the time to unwind and recharge? ????

As burnout continues to rise, it's more important than ever to find those precious moments of relaxation and joy.

So we asked the team what they do and Mollie told us about how she spent her Bank Holiday Monday unwinding by doing Friends LEGO!

Some Positive News

Did you hear that 'Nature' has officially become a musician, earning royalties for environmental causes? ????

This amazing new initiative was introduced to major streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music last month.

So what does that mean exactly?

Well, artists who use natural sounds in their recordings have the choice to list 'Nature' as a featured artist! This would also mean that a share of their profits will be distributed to environmental causes.

What an amazing way of incorporating popular platforms to help the planet!

Some artists have already started doing this, including Ellie Goulding who updated her song 'Brightest Blue' with the calls of speckled chachalacas and Amazonian oropendolas.
