Is your pricing ghoulish?

We all worry about how we’re doing in comparison to others. But your pricing should never be a concern. Why?

Well how much would you pay for a sweet treat after your lunch? How much should dessert cost? That’s going to be a very different number, depending on whether you’re just grabbing something for a family dinner or sitting in a restaurant. How much is TOO MUCH?

The most expensive dessert in the world is the “Frrrozen Haute Chocolate ice cream sundae” sold at Serendipity 3 in New York and it is $25,000.

Admittedly it’s got 5g of editable 23-karat gold and comes with a diamond bracelet and a gold spoon. And as a weight loss tool, it could help, if it meant you couldn't afford to eat for a year. Or two.

I don’t know who is buying this dessert, but it’s as much a marketing gimmick as it is a product. It exists to draw people to the café. It’s a word of mouth marketing tool.
