Hi,
One of my clients—let’s call him Steve—asked me for help with his presentation.
Now, Steve works as a sales leader at a leading car dealership.
And being the company’s messenger of innovation and progress…
His goal in his presentation is simple:
To encourage his audience to embrace the company’s new strategies.
Here’s how he delivered his message:
“XYZ’s commitment to future investments signifies more than a corporate endeavour.
It underscores our dedication to furnish you with the latest technological advancements.
Envision a future where your electric car elegantly navigates a changing landscape.”
Noticed something about his tone and language?
Yes, his presentation is about the company’s plans for change.
But…
His message was clearly intended for his audience—what it meant for them.
Steve aligned his narrative with his audience’s values…
And showcased how XYZ’s trajectory will also serve to address their concerns.
You see, any good presentation has these common qualities:
But there’s one key element that differentiates a good presentation from an amazing one:
Shifting the spotlight to the audience.
This is about tailoring your presentation to their needs, aspirations, and interests.
What drives them?

Remember, your language serves as a bridge connecting your audience to your message.?
This is why shifting away from “I” to “you” in your speech amplifies the sense of shared purpose.?
Remember this:
It's your audience’s involvement in the presentation that takes precedence.
Everything in your message should be about them—not you.
Now, I know this can be tricky.
But in our Rehearsal Room, you can develop a more audience-centric language…
And craft presentations that your listeners will remember.
If you’re ready to start making more audience-centric presentations, reply to this email.
I’d love to work with you on that.
Cheers,
Carmen
