Your Presence Matter

Dear Daddy,
We love having you around, I lived for the moment when you would visit, or we got to spend time at your home. I grew up enveloped in your love, warmth, and security - three invaluable gifts that I'll always cherish.
Although you and mom separated, you never separated yourself from us, you both worked at co-parenting without animosity and instead showering us with generosity. Your boundless love painted our home in vibrant hues of care and affection. It was in your selfless sacrifices and gestures of love that I first learned the meaning of unconditional. It was a hearty, genuine sound that personified the happiness you derived from the simplest things in life.

When I think of you, I'm reminded of your kindness, the kindness that knows no bounds. You did all you could to ensure that all your children experienced your love. Your ability to empathize with others, to lend a hand when someone was in need, taught me the value of compassion. Your strength, both physical and emotional, was a pillar of support for our family. It was this strength that helped us weather life's toughest storms, although you did not live with us, your presence was felt in the contributions you made and sacrifices you made to spend time with us. Our travels to school, weekend trips to the country, helping you wash the car, watching our favorite TV shows, sports talks, prayer and devotions, the times we have cooked are some of the moments with you I cherish the most.
Your dedication to our family is evident in everything you do. From working tirelessly to provide for us, to making time for family moments - you have been present daddy, and your presence matter. Thank you for not just giving us presents but for your presence with us.?
