Your Prescription For Success

I've worked with a lot of people over the years helping them get into franchising, and what I found is there are some things that everyone has in common who successfully transitioned into business ownership.?

Determination

There are four attributes that I've noticed and that I've actually made an acronym for. It's called D-O-C-S, a prescription for success. The first letter is “D” and it stands for determination. Do you have the gumption to do the thing that needs to be done to get you to your goal??

Optimism & Courage

“O” is for optimism. Are you a glass half full person? Because if you are, your glass may end up being totally full, because you've willed it to be. And “C” stands for courage. This one is really important, because there is a lot of fear involved in the process of due diligence and getting into business for the first time. You need that courage to get over that fear.

Support

And finally, the letter “S” stands for support. Support specifically for your family. When you're running a business, you will find that there's a lot going on in your day work.? You don't want to have to swim upstream against a lack of support from people in your home life. It’s really nice to come home to that person that loves you, supports you and cheers you on, whether it's a good day or a bad day.?
