Your Preconceived Notions About Success Could Be Incorrect

Your Preconceived Notions About Success Could Be Incorrect

Sometimes it isn’t about what you don’t know. Often, it’s more about being mistaken about what you’re certain is true.

Misconceptions create challenges. What if your preconceived notions about success are incorrect?

How might your beliefs about your likelihood of success change?

If your beliefs are accurate, you might find that achieving success is a lot easier than you originally thought.

New actions and outcomes can be expected with a fresh set of beliefs. Success starts with you!

Check out these 9 misconceptions of success:

1. It’s too late to reach your goals. Many of the world’s most successful individuals didn’t start until later. Consider Colonel Sanders, who started Kentucky Fried Chicken in his sixties.

2. Successful people have to work insane hours. While many successful people do work many hours, that’s primarily because they enjoy what they’re doing. But it’s unnecessary to focus all your efforts on work.

3. It takes a long time to become successful. It depends on what you’re doing. If you want to take years off your learning curve, work with someone who’s successfully traversed the trail you are on. You’d be amazed at how many things can be accomplished quickly with a good mentor and an effective action plan.

4. You have to play by the rules to succeed. The alternate, “You have to break all the rules to succeed,” is also false. Each situation is unique. You can make up your own rules, especially when you trust your Inner Guidance and develop the character traits that will allow you the best opportunity to reach your goals.

Doing things that help you move forward in a positive direction is important. Sometimes that even means temporarily stepping out of your comfort zone until what used to be uncomfortable becomes your new comfort zone and your new ‘success set point’.

5. Money isn’t important. Money is very important for those things that require money. Money doesn’t provide emotional support, but it can do a whole lot for you. If you’re unable to pay your bills or buy food, you already know the importance of money.

6. Success is only about making money. It’s important to have enough money to support your idea of success. But money isn’t everything! Maybe your version of success is about having freedom and enjoying life. Having more money than you need is of questionable value.

7. You’ll achieve the most success if you do it alone. Success rarely happens in isolation. You’ll probably need help along the way. Partnerships, coaches, and mentors are part of becoming successful. Hopefully, you’ll be able to pay it forward and help someone else on their road to success someday.

8. If you lack education or come from a certain background, you won’t find success. Successful people come from all backgrounds and levels of education. In fact, a disproportionate number of highly successful people didn’t complete high school!

Having a certain background and education can provide different opportunities, but there’s an alternative path to success. History is filled with success stories of those with serious disadvantages.

9. Success is the goal. Success is the condition of having met your goals. It is not a goal in itself. Success is a process and a journey of self-development.

The successful spiritual entrepreneur has a deep core desire to succeed. That core desire comes from Inner Guidance. It’s as if they have no other choice. There is no middle ground for them.

They see success as an exponential process where every opportunity to succeed leads to further opportunities to succeed, leading to a lifelong joyful journey!??

ABOUT EVA

I know what it feels like to be stuck in a business that isn’t working because I’ve been there.

After struggling for over five years in the software company my other half, Robin, and I had, doing what the “gurus” said to do in order to succeed – to no avail – I discovered the transformative power of Energy Alignment and Law of Attraction.

It was only after we started integrating these practices into our software business that we were able to turn things around and go from over $100K in debt and near bankruptcy to a 7-figure bottom line in just nine months.

That was when I knew I had to “get out of high tech” and “into high people” to share what I know with heart-centered entrepreneurs.

Today, my passion is helping coaches, thought leaders, and spiritual entrepreneurs worldwide scale their businesses online to six figures and beyond.

My unique approach combines the practical, proven step-by-step strategies that are working in today’s ever-changing market with intuitive spiritual awareness.

I’m the author of two powerful books, “The Feel Good Guide to Prosperity” and “Life Lessons for Mastering the Law of Attraction” (which I co-authored with Jack Canfield of Chicken Soup for the Soul? fame and Jeanna Gabellini).

But what really sets me apart in my field is how I bring together both the practical and the spiritual, helping my clients create success that aligns with their true purpose.

If you’re ready to take your heart-centered business to the next level, I’d love to help!

I would add one little thing: Success is defined by the individual achieving it, not those around him/her, as the definition of success is different for each one.
