Are Your Posts Flopping on LinkedIn?
LinkedIn is changing.
With more people migrating from X to the platform and testing out new ways to add video, the LinkedIn we once knew looks a little different these days.
What isn't new is the type of content users like to see.
In a recent study from Social Insider, they analyzed the type of content that performs the best on LinkedIn; the results are quite interesting.
In the era of short-form video, you'd think that is what would be performing the best on LinkedIn, but you would be wrong. The content with the most engagement is actually multiple image posts, also known as carousel-style.
This shows that while LinkedIn is looking a little different, its user base is still the same, for now.
Video marketers don't worry because the study also showed that the platform had a high sharing rate for video content.
With 10% more brands posting on the platform and LinkedIn looking to make an emphasis on video soon, it looks like the "right" type of content will look different for everybody.
One thing to learn from this study is that image-style posts are not dead on LinkedIn and short-form videos are just brushing the surface.
