Is Your Poor Diet Killing You?

??While I was reading health articles the other day I came across a CBS News article that reaffirmed my desire to help others improve their nutrition and overall health. The article states, "Poor diet is associated with 1 in 5 deaths worldwide, according to a new, large study. That's equivalent to 11 million deaths a year, making unhealthy eating habits responsible for more deaths than tobacco and high blood pressure." (ASHLEY WELCH, APRIL 3, 2019 / 6:30 PM / CBS NEWS)
??While that was shocking to me, its not surprising. Every time we turn on the television, radio, or phone we are inundated with fast food ads, meal deals, and synthetic food/sugar substitutes. They then take it one step further by targeting our kids by offering free toys with every meal. Add to that the fact that while technology has improved our lives it's made us busier than ever before requiring us to try and find time for that quick meal so that we don't interrupt our busy schedules.
??Think of all of the unhealthy foods, salt, sugar, and sugar substitutes, and fats we consume on a daily basis as a result of those influences. Isn't it obvious why our nations medical costs are rising?
??We have the power to make a simple change in our lives that will impact generations to come. Make better dietary choices and be the catalyst to generations of better health in your family and your community.
