Your Poem was a big success!

Dear Amy,

 I wanted to get back to you and let you know the Poem for the Jett-Phillips Grand Family (Eastern Star) was a huge successes, the group was touched by the composition of the words and the originality. Again, I want to thank you - I just know the poem will be a treasured tribute for all 19 members of our group for many years to come. My only regret is that we were not able to get a picture of everyone holding their poem, but please know everyone was pleased and simply amazed at how you were able to summarize our whole year in a few lines!

The Jett-Phillips Grand Family

Here's to our vaunted group,

"The Pilots" are their name.

Grand Officers of our Grand Chapter, 

To their eternal fame.

These 19 extraordinary members,

Of the Order of the Eastern Star,

Have spent a year to remember,

In all ways, they've gone far.

Jo Jett, our Worthy Grand Matron,

Head Officer is she.

And Donald Phillips, Worthy Grand Patron,

What a job was done by he!

Now we're assembled in Hampton,

The "Infinite Flight of Our Star" is here.

We celebrate "The Pilots" all,

With warmth, with fun, with cheer.

This past year, what a journey,

Many great moments, adventures and more.

Surprises, laughter, happiness,

Truly a wonder, for sure.

The Pilots all throughout the state

Brought their own special fun.

Because in a word, the Pilots

Are truly bright as the sun.
