Is your phone system ready for Christmas too?

It is that time of year again.....

Not just the joys of Christmas of course, but the time of year a lot of companies, both big and small actually close down for the Christmas period. Even the ones who don't do this will most likely operate less hours over the festive period.

What I have found, over the last 4 years of helping clients with their onsite communications, the phone system been a key one that people tend to forget about until the very last minute. Over the next few days I will be contacting my clients to ensure we have got any Christmas messages, Out of hours messages or phone schedules set as they need to be in preparation for this time.

Some people implement an out of hours strategy ready for this but without some planning it can all go completely wrong and in turn even possibly affect the reputation of your business.

The flexibility of a hosted phone system allows us to do this within no more than 5 minutes with a few clicks and a quick recorded new message from a handset.

So please make sure you have thought about the plans for the festive period and changed any hours set within your phone system and already pre-set and forwarding rules to hit on set dates. Whilst businesses are closed operationally clients still need to have some point of contact in an emergency so make sure this is all planned out in your system.
