Your Path To Millions (For Your Worth)

Your Path To Millions (For Your Worth)

2007. On a cold January morning during rush hour in a packed D.C. metro station, a simply dressed man wearing a baseball cap was busking.

A few people, but not many, stopped to throw some spare change in his violin case.

Out of 1,097 people who passed him, only 27 gave him money.

In 45 minutes, he made $52.17.

$20 of that was from 1 person who recognized this man.

Once a child prodigy, and now a Grammy-Award winning, one of the most celebrated and famous violinists in this world, and also a millionaire at that... he was Joshua Bell.

The same Joshua Bell, who, a few nights before, played a sold-out show in Boston. Each ticket was worth up to a hundred dollars. Not only that, he was busking with a 3.5 million dollar Stradivarius violin, the same instrument he used to play his sold-out auditorium shows.

Your Millionaire Path - Whom Are You Dealing With?

  1. Do they have enough experience? Inexperienced people lack context, and will not get what "awesome" vs. "run of the mill" looks like. If you want more money, ask the right people who have had experiences before coming across you, and already have the capacity to understand your value.
  2. How you present yourself matters. In this info age, people have less than 9 seconds of attention span, much less than a goldfish. That's why you've got to look the part.
  3. Timing. Your value proposition has to strike at the right place, right time. If you're asking in hectic chaos, just like Joshua was playing during rush hour, people won't hear you. Ask, when you're wearing your track record and people are impressed. Ask, when you've presented amazing results and your boss or clients, are celebrating. That's the time.

I've found over time that people who haven't ever hired personal development help, such as paid (out of their own pocket) for their own therapists or coach in the past, don't have enough context to understand the value of the depth of the mindset work I offer. They think that getting a degree or certificate, watching YouTube videos, and reading books can replace professional help.

I've also learned over time that people who have created independent success on their own before we meet are the most likely to feel aligned with my help, and succeed the fastest.

People who have been highly tolerant for decades with the same problem, looking for inconsistent/cheap/free help while struggling alone, are much more resistant and more challenging to create shifts together.

Take my experiences as context and ask yourself what kind of company or clients will lead you to grow your career with fun, joy, and effortlessness.

To get paid your worth, choose your audience intentionally. ??
