Looking back at National Disability Employment Awareness Month?

Did you know that October has been National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM)?

Observed annually, NDEAM was established to raise awareness about the challenges faced by disabled employees and job seekers and to encourage employers to adopt more inclusive hiring and working practices.

With a mission to ensure that disabled workers have access to meaningful employment opportunities all year round, the theme for NDEAM 2024 is ‘Access to Good Jobs for All’.

Patchwork Hub are proud to support NDEAM this October and all year round. We’re calling on UK companies to follow the lead of their US counterparts by actively listening to the issues that disabled people are facing and showing that they can be more inclusive in their employment practices.
