Is your Password safe from AI ???

As the world continues to explore the possibilities of artificial intelligence, some folks are excited about its potential while others are wary. And with good reason, because as powerful as AI is, it also comes with its own set of risks.

In fact, there's been a growing concern about how AI might compromise our online security. And now, a new study shows that our trusty old passwords may not be as secure as we thought, as AI can crack them in less than a minute.

So while AI can do some amazing things, it's important to be aware of the downsides too.

??? AI can hack your password!

According to a recent study by Home Security Heroes, more than half of the commonly used passwords can be cracked by AI in under a minute.

The researchers used an AI password cracker called PassGAN to test 15,680,000 passwords, and the results showed that almost 51% of these passwords can be breached within 60 seconds. Even more alarming was the discovery that 81% of passwords could be compromised within a month.

It's important to note that AI can only crack passwords quickly if they're short, simple, and predictable, such as phone numbers or birth dates. Longer, more complex passwords that use a mix of characters and symbols will take significantly longer to crack.

So, it's crucial to create unique, strong passwords that are at least 18 characters long to safeguard your personal information and online accounts from potential hackers.

The study also found that 18 characters or longer passwords are generally safe from AI password cracking.

Even passwords that only consist of numbers?would take at least 10 months to crack if they're this long.

On the other hand, passwords that combine symbols, numbers, and upper and lower-case letters are the most secure, as it could take up to 6 quintillion years to crack them.

??? How you can stay safe?

  • To ensure your online safety and security, it's important to steer clear of predictable and generic passwords, particularly those consisting solely of digits.
  • Instead, opt for passwords that are a minimum of 15 characters long and feature a mix of symbols, numbers, and upper and lower-case letters.
  • If you're concerned about remembering these complex passwords, consider using a password manager to help you stay on top of things.
  • It is also recommended to include at least two letters (both upper and lowercase), symbols, and numbers in your password.
  • Additionally, make it a habit to change your passwords every three to six months.
  • Finally, avoid using the same password across all your accounts, as this can put you at significant risk.

With these simple but effective precautions, you can enjoy peace of mind while navigating the digital world.

?? Unlock the potential of AI, with safety as your key!
