Your Own Spiritual Practice
This week we are talking about creating your own SPIRITUAL practice. There’s no one size fits all. So give yourself a break if you ‘haven’t’ been able to find or stick to one, and STOP comparing yourself to other people. This isn’t about anyone else but YOU….
Here are the main ingredients:
:You. What are YOUR spiritual symptoms?
:What daily cues, reminders, vows and blessing are meaningful and inspiring to YOU, to connect, center, ground and balance yourself, in YOUR “spiritual practice?”
:Does it consistently help you shift energy, limiting mindsets and beliefs and old and new blocks that come up in this thing we call life?
...and…
:Does your SPIRITUAL PRACTICE include (a way to connect to) SPIRIT?
Ancient and indigenous systems did. So if it wasn’t broken…why did we try to fix it? Our mentor Sobonfu taught us the healing wisdom and rituals of her indigenous culture, that we combine with tools of personal development, to create a modern container for your healing practice. Yesterday, we introduced you to the five energetic elements, that ground the ancient practice; and that we use to create daily touch points in five areas of emotional and spiritual support, that altogether, help you create a spiritual and spirit filled practice.
These daily actions can be very simple and practical - as long as it has meaning to YOU, and symbolically invite in a connection with Spirit. Spirit is the Universe, Source, your Highest self, sacred space, energy free space, silence…anything elevated from your human experience...any thing or place that allows you to just BE. Spirit helps with the heavy lifting of healing… And the more you seek to connect to it, the more present it will become in your life.
Today, let’s look at the 2nd Element - WATER - which represented balance, our emotions, peace and keeping things in balance…
We work in his area when we have emotional blocks and to check in to see if we are feeling our feelings? Or if we are we stuffing and pushing them down. Nothing survives in a toxic environment — including relationships, and our own ability to cope.
Today: What ALWAYS without a DOUBT make you feel peaceful? Going into nature, or listening to nature sounds or classical music? Commit to doing it! Put it on your reminders to take five minutes at lunch, or before bed. Do something that brings peace to your emotions, and as you do it…release the outcome of any painful or negative emotion into the space. Let it go.
