Are your onsite records worth anything?

Are your onsite records worth anything?

A large element of our works is the evaluation and determination of change within the UK Civils and Infrastructure Projects. Within our remit we see a great deal of paper records and if there are electronic records they are generally some form of Excel Spreadsheet which provides limited search capabilities or ease of recovery of information. This is a common problem and as such we have developed Memro which is a cloud based searchable and user definable electronic allocation sheet system. After nearly two years of development and testing with some of our Clients we have produced a stable easy to use user interface that allows numerous search and recall of data to assist with:

  • Live costs.
  • Materials reconciliation and deliveries.
  • Resource allocation to work type, work categories' and location. Eg (Variation, Measured, Standing - Earthworks, Drainage, FRC - Main-Line Ch 100 -200, Structure 1, Culvert 10 etc.)
  • Tracking of change by user definable codes (suitable for NEC EWN, CEN, CE and JCT forms) Full allocation of resource to those codes - recoverable from numerous reports.
  • Hours worked reports for Health & Safety reporting. Excess hours check also.
  • The ability to measure items of work on the sheet facilitating a "measured mile" to be produced for disruption and delay information.
  • Analysis of resource by skill so as to demonstrate impact of efficiency or prolonged usage due to change.
  • Analytics over user definable periods so as to assist in the demonstration of impact caused by change or delays.

Easy to Use - Search function - Information at your fingertips

The system does so much more and where used by our Clients they have found efficiencies in Commercial Resource due to the ability to interrogate the system and pull out key data quickly. No more spending days trawling through paper sheets to find out what happened. The ability to search by numerous user defined criterion; ease of resource entry from drop down menus set up for the Project; means that sheets can be entered on a 7" tablet and uploaded immediately for remote staff to view and validate. Built in system checks means that duplicated resources on a project are highlighted and incomplete sheets are highlighted for review prior to acceptance by Project Manager and Commercial. These built in reviews effectively promote dialogue and produce better controls for the entire team.

Remote Working no longer a barrier.

Remote working is no longer a problem as the Cloud based data means that those with access to the Memro Project can review at their own time. The system can be used in video meetings to prompt conversation and ensure notices and impacts are shared both internally but externally as well. Our Clients share their sheets in a PDF format so the record is issued timely.

So if your records are a cause for concern or are difficult to use then ask us for a free trial on a Project of your choice and see if our system can help you.

Take a look at www.Memro.co.uk and if you sign up before December 2023 for the premium monthly package you will get the QS bolt on for free for 6 months.
