Your Name Is Your Reputation

We just moved into our new offices. After 20 years in the same office, it was time for a change. Change is never easy and it always comes with uncertainty and new challenges. Challenge is something we've always embraced. It seems to be in our DNA.

When we started out, we were simple commercial agents for a single client. We also adopted that client's name as a trade name - known to many as Seatrade USA and using the email domain of @seatradeusa.com. We're proud of our relationship with the Seatrade Group and continue to serve the various Seatrade entities on multiple trades around the USA.

From day one in 1998, we've officially been North American General Agents, Inc. The NAGA acronym was always in our name, but only came to be used years later. This was part of our evolution, as we added a second office, became port and husbandry agents, added a variety of logistics and consulting services and became licensed freight forwarders and NVOCCs. To better represent the diversity of our service offerings, we started using the NAGA Logistics name in marketing materials some five years ago.

Through it all, the focus has been on the highest level of customer service and responsiveness. At the end of the day, we understand that we are in the business of communications. Clients need timely information and need to know there are solutions when things don't go right - because in this business, things invariably go sideways.

Today, we have a diverse base of business and continue to look for new challenges and new opportunities. In the coming days and weeks, you may see industry announcements touting new agreements reached with partners both in the USA and abroad. With a focus first and foremost on perishable cargo, we will diversify further into domestic forwarding, air freight and supply chain management.

By next week, we will be transitioning our emails over to our @nagalogistics.com domain. In my case, this will be [email protected]. It will still be the same team here in Tampa and Philadelphia - attentive to the needs of our clients. Our name is our reputation and we are NAGA Logistics.
