Your name has value

I teach photographers in the niche of farewell photography to increase their value and that of families with a lost one. Author: DAT FOTOGRAFEER JE TOCH NIET?!
"My name was written on the casket!"
It wasn't someone with the same name who had passed away; no, it was really my name.
Boukje.
There it was.
In the handwriting of one of the attending children.
Of course, I took a photo of it.
It was a playful moment during the funeral as the children continued to draw and write on their grandfather's casket.
They kept finding empty spaces, using waterproof markers.
They were still at it when the guests came to pay their final respects.
It happened spontaneously. "Should we write your name on the casket too?" they asked passersby. Sure, that sounded like a great idea. It became a large guest book.
More and more names appeared on the casket. Finally, my name was there too because, as a farewell photographer, I was a part of it.
It's certainly not uncommon for drawings or names to be put on a casket in the Netherlands. Not even during the day of farewell.
I've captured it several times at very different funerals.
There don't even have to be children present; it might have been the wish of the deceased to decorate the casket with a memory, wish, or someone's name.
A proven fact
Writing your name somewhere provides recognition and satisfaction.
The concept is even tightly integrated as a value proposition at the coffee company 'Starbucks.'
Every customer at Starbucks is always asked for their first name, so it can be written on the cup.
When your order is ready, they don't call out a number but your name.
You might pay extra 'bucks' for this star-quality treatment, but hey, your name is loudly announced!
You are a star for a few seconds!
That just feels good. We're willing to spend extra money for that good feeling.

Your name has value
Your name, whether you're happy with it or not, you're connected to it.
You respond to your name.
The name of a deceased person is just as important.
It should still be mentioned. When a name is spoken, it comes to life in our thoughts.
We all want to be remembered; we all wish our name to be mentioned because we've meant something to someone else.
Being of significance is our star-quality.
How are you significant? What do you do in your life to make others happy - so that you can also be happy in return?
Once you know that, my advice is to use it more.
You'll experience more happiness and joy when you can make others happy with what you do (and do well).
As a photographer, you make choices.
Choices in what and how you capture things and where you want to earn your money.
Because you make people happy with what you're good at.
Do you want to develop your photography in getting this niche added?

Hello there! ?? Your post deeply resonates with the idea that our names carry weight far beyond mere identification. As Shakespeare famously said, "What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet." ?? Your story is a poignant reminder to cherish the legacy we create with our names. Thank you for sharing such a powerful message! ??
