Your Mindset Preceeds Your Skillset
Hey fellow Linkedinians,
(made that word up right now)
As the staffing world is on fire right now I have made a couple of compelling observations about the world of employment.
In the world today, "jobs" are a dime a dozen. It seems most employers are short staffed and struggling to hold on to the employee's they have.
In the world today, "employees" are scarce. It seems less people are interested in building tenure and more interested in chasing a check or idea.
This has gotten us into quite a conundrum.
While many are searching for jobs, they haven't taken the time to build up the skillsets to fill the shoes in which these companies need. and while these companies have many needs to be filled, they don't have the appropriate talent pool to do so.
This is where I try to bridge the gap.
Whether entry level or experienced. I advise all my associates to focus on one simple thing.

Focus on Growth.
While most companies realize the disparity in the talent pool as well as the frustrations of the talented, They ultimately want to know you are there to help them grow, not just collect a check.
In the world of success, mindset preceeds skillset
If you are the most talented person in the room, but you aren't willing to adapt and learn....you will fail.
If you are the least talented person in the room, but you are willing to adapt and learn, you will grow beyond belief.
Whether entry level or experienced, understand that and you will succeed.
Less Expectation + Ambition + Action = The Success Mindset
Get your mind right first, and It will make your professional life unstoppable.
