We all know that our mind has two distinct part one is conscious mind and the other one is subconscious mind. Before going further let's see what the subconscious mind is about. There's really one mind but for the sake of scientific study and clarity it can functionally be considered as conscious mind with whose help we see and understand the nature world and the unconscious mind is that part of mind which never comes to our understanding during this life time wherein the activities of earlier births are recorded for allotment of fruits of our labour in this and subsequent births.
It is possible that this part will come naturally to the notice of Yogis after prolonged labour when it comes to their conscious awareness it gets burnt out. From our present point of view it can be ignored. In between these two is the subconscious mind which Really once a part of conscious mind but got suppressed for a variety of reasons including guilt feelings etc.
Once the suppressing force is released, it's liable to come to conscious awareness as in dreams. In other words it can be said to be under the lowest layers of conscious mind on which unconscious mind has no apparent influence. This principle is utilised for the benefit of man as a helper in healing process- to where the question is directed to.
And we have seen that intense desire to achieve an objective that couldn't be reached immediately is pushed under only to come out when conditions are favourable. So, positive thoughts with ardently or fervently, even if cannot be realised remain in subconscious mind if the practice is continued for over a period of time to influence the body and mind as the thoughts are fully charged with mental energy - what Freud called "cathexis".
This is something similar to auto- hypnosis. In a hypnotised person constantly will be thinking of the wish or thought reinforcing the mental energy deployed with that particular thought. The workout is done at the subconscious level and takes decisions that brings the desired result even without his conscious efforts as if by a miracle. It should be possible to attain healing property also but provided it is not in antagonism to the already determined path.
Imagine the subconscious is like the orchard having multiple species of food and plants and the foods keep us alive and plants oxygenate life both are as real as death but every food isn’t made for everyone and the same with plants, some may have allergic reactions too .What one has to do is to choose accordingly as per body type and tendencies. The Subconscious mind is filled with immaculate therapeutic powers if one knows to explore, than to choose the suitable one and than to use that with its best way.
Of course there are certain techniques or say thumb rules to jump into subconscious , all need repetitions and practice, meanwhile you become apt in for those techniques they tend to be the part of reflexology then. Let us first sit properly in a relaxed position or lay down in your comfortable couch or sofa and then focus your breaths, just focus gently be aware of your inhaling and exhaling process slowly, count them by ten, while inhaling slowly and exhale slowly and then do it more rapidly like inhale and exhale swiftly.
Let any thought be there in and out of mind, you just focus your breathing only gently this is really mindful of our present state of breathing. As long the breath would be as deeper as possible imaging your state would be like gently entering the orchard of dark green alleys, this is the sight of your lovely serene subconscious mind. Notice the greenery and serenity around and be at peace.
Now be there some time and walk it all through with all your senses, feel the feel and live the experience. Slowly start talking your subconscious regarding the issue you are seeking to heal for , ask questions and wait answers . The answers would be in form of ideomotor symptoms, you can sense them and feel them, do accordingly and remember, trust and surrender is the key to reach our subconscious which is slowly healing your soul!
