If you've been in sales, the end of the quarter and end of H1 is normally a stressful, busy time.


Chasing down signatures, waiting for that contract to come back, and the love you have for your champions that run it down for you.


I wanted to reflect on a few promising signs in the SaaS market that I've noticed in the first half of the year.


  • I'm seeing funding rounds and IPOs again! Companies like Nooks & Clay receiving significant rounds and organizations like Rubrik going public... really positive signs!
  • Hiring! While the free-agent market is still saturated with talent from 2023: The Year of the RIF... hiring and job reqs for sales roles have up-ticked in H1 according to LinkedIn.
  • A renewed emphasis on strategically buying technology to better business… no more buying tech just because you raised a ton of money… buyers are putting real thought into where technology fits, which in my opinion will lead to healthier customers, healthier revenue predictability, and better employee experiences. Good news is companies are buying software again, period.
